toronto will always be home :)

there are a lot of torontonians in seattle. or canadians in seattle if we want to be more general. a lot of them have made seattle their home. and they've told me that when they return to toronto, it's just not the same and it's no longer 'HOME'. somehow that's not the case for me. this weekend, i flew home for a last minute family issue. i looked out for these feelings of "it's not the same anymore" and found myself feeling just the opposite. i felt comfortable, like i belonged there. as i drove up to the house from the airport, it was as if i had just been gone for a vacation and was returning home. the inside jokes continue - "left, right, left, right!", the poker games (yes, i beat you all!!!), the game cube Mario Party mini- games - "again, again!!" and the yummy BBQs. you guys rock! thanks so much for a great weekend home :)

despite the reason and circumstances for the trip home, i'm glad i made it out and was able to spend a couple of days catching up with family and friends. i look forward to june's trip! YAY!!! know that i've missed you guys a lot and wish you could all come out and hang with me in seattle ;)

Home is where the heart is...and since your physical heart is currently in SEA, that's home! =)

J/K, I know what you mean, home home still feels like home!

I listened to that song on a constant loop last year. But eventually I realized that home is where you make it. Enjoy the place you're at and the people you're with. You are where you are for a reason. Listen to something happier...I still have that Black Eye Peas album from last summer if you want it :)
