it's such a small world. isn't it funny when people are connected through a friend of a friend and they don't even realize it!

yet. for some, the world is too big. the distance too great. it has the ability to destroy relationships with other people. things can't be worked out. there is the eventual fading away that happens. why is it that it works for some people and for others, it doesn't? is there a secret to long distance friendships and relationships? i'd like to know what that secret is.
