is spongebob from hawaii?

i was thinking while in hawaii, this place reminds me of Spongebob and Bikini Bottom. The music that is played at the beaches or in the stores or at the luau is like the music in a Spongebob episode. and now that i pay more attention, Patrick's shorts have Hawaiian print on them. They are bright green with purple flowers. Also, Spongebob and Patrick go jellyfish hunting and i learned while on the beach that there are definitely jellyfish in the ocean waters.... yikes! And Spongebob lives in a pineapple! Maybe it's a Dole pineapple.

So maybe Spongebob is from Hawaii? Actually, I looked it up and Bikini Bottom is supposed to be located under Bikini Atoll - an uninhabited atoll in one of the Micronesian islands in the Pacific Ocean. So now i know.
