Winter Wonderland

it snowed yesterday evening. the storm predicted for the wee hours of wednesday morning was delayed by about 12 hours and now seattle is blanketed in a wintery wonderland of snow (about 1 inch or so). the snow hasn't melted either because a cold but dry air mass from canada in the north has come in and kept temperatures hovering around the zero mark. (Do i sound like a meterologist yet?? there has been a lot of news coverage on the crazy weather we've been having out west this winter). today, we have clear blue skies which makes it even prettier. i missed the snow in Toronto but i'm soaking it up here on the west coast. it is a very rare occurance here to get snow that actually stays on the ground so many people are "working from home". indeed i am one of those people :D but i'm actually really honestly feeling sick too *cough cough*. i spent monday and tuesday evenings staying up really late to work on my homework assignment that wasn't even due because class was cancelled yesterday evening. so i'm at home catching up on some things i need to get done plus making sure i get lots of rest.

i've got pictures of a snowman that i made with the girls this morning though. i'll post when i get a chance :D
