There are a lot of Canadians here in Seattle. Waiki sent out an invite last week inviting fellow Canadians out to his apartment for a Thanksgiving feast. He made turkey with stuffing and gravy and everyone else was supposed to bring drinks, salad, dessert, veggies and fruit. Monday night, about 20 people headed out to Queen Anne and we managed to fit ourselves into a 1100 sq ft apartment - it was pretty tight since half of the apartment was taken up by the two large bedrooms. It was a great night of laughs, catching up, and meeting new people. I found out that Waiki and some others play board games! YAY! We're going to try to coordinate a Carcassonne games night (but of course they probably won't play as well or as fun as you guys at home - I mean who could possibly replace the tension between Kizzle and QuiteSleepy, or the Screw ReformedJerk and Screw SailorJu tactics?? :P). Anyhow, dinner was delicious. The turkey wasn't dry - cooked JUST right. The mashed potatoes were homemade and buttery. The gravy was flavoured with sauteed mushrooms. Dessert was heavenly with a banana loaf (from Vancouver - so THAT'S why it was so good!), pumpkin pie with ice cream and fresh fruit. I'll say, the best homecooked meal away from home in a long time :).
For everyone back at home, even though i'm a little late with this posting, I hope y'all had a Happy Thanksgiving with family and friends.

yup. it's safe to say that since your departure to Ray Allen town, the game we played in the summertime that caused much muttering and cussing is not quite the same as it was before. therefor I have been sticking with poker and as of late that seems to be wearing off on me too. just goes to show that things just ain't the same without you around here. When you coming home? (for good?)

ps. heard you sold Ju out - via the grapevine. Westenders just bust me up. I had a good laugh when I heard about that one. Besides - your sis wasn't drunk - just certain (lol) people don't know her as well as certain people. Still nonetheless - crazy party. Wishing you were here.

the grapevine needs to be pruned :p my goodness, how *do* these things end up spreading??
also: i taught my little cousins to play carcassonne - was fun, but i couldn't really employ the trash-talking though... (it would make them cry :p )
dudes, trust me, it could never really be the same playing with other people! :D
Yeah, sorry about the grapevine... yeesh i didn't know that Shirley would be so "motherly".
Coming home date - TBA
