sometimes i lose touch with good friends and sometimes i'm granted the opportunity to bump into them again or read up about them or hear about them from another good friend about what's currently going on in their lives. sometimes i'm pleasantly surprised at how things have worked out for them - to hear about or see the blessings God has provided for them, or to see how they have handled difficult situations with smiles on their faces and with faithful trusting hearts. sometimes people change into completely different species. you always thought that they would be a certain way and when you bump into them a couple months later - or a couple years later - you wonder if it's the same person that you used to know so well.
i've left home about 7 months now. some friends i have kept in touch with and some i have not. i return home in june for a brief visit and i wonder how people will have changed since last summer :). already, people have changed and no doubt they will continue to change from now until june.
i wonder if i'm one of those people. probably am! in fact, i hope i am!
